he American Society of Health-System Pharmacists [ASHP] is the 30,000-member national professional association that represents pharmacists who practice in hospitals, health maintenance organizations, long-term care facilities, home care agencies, and other components of health care systems. The Society has extensive publishing and educational programs designed to help members improve their delivery of pharmaceutical care, and it is a national accrediting organization for pharmacy residency and pharmacy technician training programs.

The non-profit American Society of Hispanic Psychiatry [ASHP] fosters multidisciplinary collaborations in mental health treatment with a particular focus on Latino Populations. Members are practicing psychiatrists, psychologists, and other mental health workers. ASHP was established in 1960. It has over 1500 members.

The American Society of Human Genetics [ASHG], founded in 1948, is the primary professional membership organization for human geneticists in North America. Over 5,000 members include researchers, academicians, clinicians, laboratory practice professionals, genetic counselors, nurses and others involved in human genetics.

The principal objectives of ASHG are to bring together investigators in the many areas of endeavor that involve human genetics, and to encourage and integrate their efforts by providing a forum for sharing research findings.

Founded in 1956, ASIM is a national medical association whose members comprise the nation's largest medical specialty. Internists and internist- subspecialists (doctors of internal medicine) are the major providers of continuing, comprehensive care to adults and adolescents in the United States.
