Trance theory proposes to explain a variety of trance states and altered states of consciousness through the systematic identification of trance generating loops, the description of the resulting dissociated trance plane and the identification and measurement of the trance force as well as a description of its effects. The Trauma Center provides comprehensive services to traumatized children and adults and their families, at 10 counseling centers located throughout eastern Massachusetts, Its Certificate Program in Traumatic Stress Studies has state-of-the-art seminars, lectures and supervision groups. The Weekly Lecture Series is open to all mental health professionals.
